"Old Time" Radio Collectable Art and music are innate to all humans, and the artist is not so much a source, but an interpreter.
Artist Dan Riccio is a native of New York, where his first professional venture, in both sculpture and fashion jewelry, launched his career. In 1976, he moved his studio to Glastonbury, where his skills in sculpture and jewelry began to merge, resulting in sculptures that were increasingly intricate. Gaining inspiration from his background in biology, Dan soon began creating tiny objects, figures, and animals, into which he introduced secondary themes. His miniatures were soon being enthusiastically collected across the country. He has since designed thimbles, bells, jewelry, and edition sculptures for many organizations, museums, and individual collectors. Dan also serves as the president of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, teaches classes at CCSU, and lectures in his field.
